Call me crazy, but I think I’m going to trust my hubby when he says that he found us a new home.

BACKS UP TO XXX ELEMENTARY! THIS SPACIOUS 4 BEDROOM HAS VAULTED CEILINGS. MASTER BEDROOM IS DOWNSTAIRS. MASTER BATH HAS BIG GARDEN TUB, SEPERATE SHOWER, BIG WALK-IN CLOSET. OTHER BEDROOMS UPSTAIRS. LOOKS GREAT.
Hubby says that he looked at it, and it’s in a nice neighborhood on a street that has so little traffic that kids at the end of it were playing street hockey. It’s also right within walking distance of two parks, one that has a long walking path. (God knows I need the exercise!)
Since Ellie is already showing some stress from her father being gone, I’m really reluctant to leave her for a few days to go down to Texas to go house hunting. The very idea makes me feel ill, more so than trusting that hubby finds a place acceptable. I checked out the school via the web, and it’s rated exemplary. The school web site shows that the school has a very active PTA, too. So even though the control-freak part of me really wants to give a final thumbs up, I’m going to trust hubby. History has shown that he is more particular about housing than I am, anyway.
In any event, it’s a rental (with a future option to buy, I think). So if it totally sucks, we can move.
So he’s putting in the application and deposit today. Unless something goes wrong, I think we will be able to move over Thanksgiving weekend (or shortly after).
